Francesca Kruk is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Corporate Investor Relations Team. In her role, she focuses on all aspects of public shareholder relations.

Before joining Blue Owl, Francesca was an Associate at Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Vice President in Equity Research at Barclays, focused on the traditional and alternative asset managers. Francesca began her career at Baby2Baby, a children’s charity based in Los Angeles.

Francesca received her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Young Kwon is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Liquid Credit Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on investments in broadly syndicated non-investment grade leveraged loans within the industrials, aerospace & defense, transportation & logistics, and metals & mining sectors.

Before joining Blue Owl, Young was a Senior Vice President at Alcentra, a global high yield and leverage loan focused asset manager. Prior to that, he was an Associate Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst at Lord Abbett & Co., a $200bn+ mutual fund manager. Young also spent time as a desk and publishing research analyst at Barclays Capital covering high yield debt.

Young received his MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and BA in International Relations from Tufts University.

Katie La Velle is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Marketing Team. In her role, she focuses on the firm’s brand strategy, driving the creative stewardship, activation, and governance of firm-level marketing and business initiatives.

Before joining Blue Owl, Katie led Social Strategy and Content Marketing at Ralph Lauren, where she was responsible for creating and distributing brand content, storytelling, and activations across the company’s ecosystem of social platforms. Prior to that, she was a Creative Operations Manager at Ralph Lauren, powering the creation of above-the-line global advertising campaigns across out-of-home, digital, paid, and organic channels.

Katie received her BBA and BSFCS, cum laude, from The University of Georgia.

Ed Labrenz is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Credit Finance & Capital Markets Team. Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, he focuses on supporting the firm’s Structured Products and Fund Finance activity.

Prior to joining Blue Owl, Edward was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Par-Four Investment Management, LLC where he was responsible for the financial, operational and regulatory actions of the Firm. This included the development, implementation and oversight of policies, procedures and systems utilized in managing a platform of alternative funds and CLOs. Prior to joining Par-Four, Ed started his career at Paloma Partners, a diversified muti-strategy hedge fund, as Vice President in their accounting department. 

Ed graduated with honors from Mount Saint Mary College with a BS in Accounting.

Pierre Lafontaine is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Private Wealth Team. In his role, he focuses on supporting the firm’s investor relations and capital raising initiatives for the Eastern Canada region.

His professional background spans nearly two decades and includes progressively senior roles within several of Canada’s most prominent investment organizations. Before joining Blue Owl, Pierre was District Vice President at Mackenzie Investments, where he contributed significantly to the development and execution of the firm’s retail distribution strategy beginning in 2015. Prior to that, he served as Regional Vice President at TD Asset Management, helping to expand the firm’s reach and strengthen its advisor relationships. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Wealth Sales Director at Sun Life Global Investments, supporting the firm’s growth among financial advisors. Before joining Sun Life, Pierre served as Business Development Manager at Fidelity Investments beginning in 2006, where he played a key role in advisor engagement and the promotion of the firm’s investment solutions. His early professional experience includes roles as a financial advisor and as a credit underwriter, providing him with a strong foundation in client advisory work, credit analysis, and financial risk assessment.

Pierre received a Business Administration degree in Finance from the Universite de Montreal and maintains Series 7 and 63 registrations.

Sohail Lalani is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the GP Strategic Capital Investment Team. In his role, Sohail focuses on sourcing and evaluating minority investments in private markets GPs as well as working closely with key LPs on strategic partnership opportunities.

Before joining Blue Owl, Sohail was the Founder and Managing Partner of Eglinton Capital Partners, a Canadian based growth equity investment firm. Prior to that, he was a senior member of the Private Equity (Direct Investments) team of PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension funds based in Montreal. Sohail also spent a decade at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) based in Abu Dhabi, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing, and monitoring co-investment and direct investment transactions in partnership with leading US and European GPs. Sohail began his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan and TD Securities.

He holds an MBA with Distinction from London Business School and HBA (Dean’s List) from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Jonathan Lamm is a Senior Managing Director at Blue Owl and the Chief Financial Officer, Credit. In his role, Jonathan also serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Blue Owl Business Development Companies (BDCs), including Blue Owl Capital Corporation (OBDC), a BDC traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Jonathan is a member of the firm's Operating Committee as well as the Credit platform’s Operating Committee. Jonathan also chairs the Credit Valuation Committee and is a member of the Global Valuation Committee. 
 
Prior to joining Blue Owl, Jonathan was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and served as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Goldman Sachs BDC, Inc. (GSBD), a BDC traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Throughout his twenty-two years at Goldman Sachs, Jonathan held various positions. From 2007 to 2021, Jonathan served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at GSAM Credit Alternatives. From 2005 to 2007, Jonathan served as Vice President in the Financial Reporting group, and from 1999 to 2005, he served as a Product Controller. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Jonathan worked in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche. 
 
Jonathan graduated from Queens College, City University, New York and is a certified public accountant (inactive).

Aleksey Lanis is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Tax Team. Before joining Blue Owl, Aleksey was the Director of Tax Compliance at Atalaya Capital Management, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Alternative Credit team and was responsible for all tax compliance related to the firm’s managed funds. Prior to joining Atalaya’s tax department, Aleksey was a tax director in the Asset & Wealth Management group at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led tax compliance engagements for clients across a wide spectrum of investment strategies with a significant focus in credit funds. Previously he worked in the alternative investment groups at Ernst & Young, Deloitte and HCVT.

He holds a BS in Business/Economics with focus in Accounting from the University of California Los Angeles and an MS in Taxation from California State University Northridge. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and California.

Joel Lankford is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Alternative Credit Investment Team. In his role, he is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing investments, primarily within the specialty finance and fintech space.

Prior to joining Blue Owl, Joel was a Vice President at Atalaya Capital Management, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Alternative Credit team. Prior to that, he was an Associate on the Asset-Backed Securitization team at KeyBanc Capital Markets, where he focused on structuring and placing a variety of public and private securitizations of consumer and commercial assets.

Joel holds a BS in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University.

Michael Lascher is a Senior Managing Director at Blue Owl and the Head of Capital Markets and Asset Management. In his role, Michael oversees all financing, transaction management and asset management activities of the Real Assets business.
 
Prior to joining Blue Owl, Michael was the Global Head of Real Estate Debt Capital Markets at Blackstone, where he was involved in over $500 billion of financings. Before joining Blackstone, Michael was a Managing Director with the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy estate, where he asset managed a portfolio of real estate investments. From 2004 until the company's bankruptcy, Michael was a member of Lehman’s Global Real Estate Group where he focused on the origination of CMBS financings. He previously was an associate in the real estate group of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
 
Michael received a BA in History and Communications from The University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
