Josh Ufberg is a Senior Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Alternative Credit Investment Team. In his role, he leads the team's corporate and opportunistic investing, which includes capital solutions, fund solutions and commercial solutions.
Before joining Blue Owl, Josh was a Partner at Atalaya Capital Management, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl's Alternative Credit team, where he also oversaw the firm’s corporate and opportunistic investing efforts. At Atalaya, Josh sat on the firm’s Executive Committee, Investment Committee for multiple funds, and the firm’s Valuation Committee. Prior to joining Atalaya, Josh was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he was a member of the Special Situations Group, a multi-asset class business which invested Goldman Sachs' capital in both the public markets and private transactions in distressed and special situations.
Josh has served on the boards of Urban Arts Partnership and the Jewish Community Project and currently serves on the board of The Natan Fund.
Mr. Ufberg holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University and a JD from Villanova University.
Jay Usner is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Alternative Credit Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on execution of the firm's Real Assets strategies.
Before joining Blue Owl, Jay was a Principal at Atalaya Capital Management, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Alternative Credit team. Prior to that, he held Vice President roles at both Fortress Investment Group and PGIM Real Estate. In those roles he acquired and managed North American real estate investments across an array of strategies and capital positions. Jay began his career at a family office dedicated to multifamily investments.
Jay received his BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison's Graaskamp Center for Real Estate.
John Valtwies is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Private Wealth Team. In his role, he oversees the business development and growth of the Blue Owl funds as well as client servicing and operations for wealth management in Australia.
Before joining Blue Owl, John was a senior leader at PIMCO. He managed the firm’s private client relationships, focusing on private banks and ultra-high-net-worth advisory groups. John also led the family office business, successfully developing strong relationships with these unique and sophisticated investors. He also developed growth strategies to expand the firm's semi-liquid alternative solutions for private clients and advisers. Prior to that, he was a senior research analyst at Morningstar.
With 23 years of investment experience, he holds a certificate in financial markets from FINSIA and received a Bachelor of Business (Economics & Finance) from Western Sydney University.
Matthieu Van Bossche is a Principal at Blue Owl and the Head of Tax Luxembourg. In his role, he is responsible for structuring the EMEA digital infrastructure investments.
Before joining Blue Owl, he was Head of Tax Luxembourg at Stack Infrastructure, a portfolio company of IPI, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl's Digital Infrastructure strategy. Before that, Matthieu was a Tax Director at PwC Luxembourg, where he advised clients on tax law with a focus on private equity and real estate. Matthieu started his career in the M&A practice of the Belgian law firm Matray, Matray & Hallet.
He received a master's degree in law and a master's degree in management, both magna cum laude, from the University of Liège in Belgium. He is also a Luxembourg Chartered Accountant (non-active).
Pravin Vazirani is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Direct Lending Investment Team. In his role, he serves as the Co-Head of Portfolio Management for the Technology Investing strategy and is a member of the Technology Investing Investment Committee.
Prior to Blue Owl, Pravin was a Managing Director with Menlo Ventures. While at Menlo Ventures, Pravin focused on investments in the SaaS, cloud and ecommerce sectors. Pravin’s prior investments include Poshmark (IPO: POSH); Carbonite (IPO: CARB); Pillpack (acquired by Amazon), Centrality Communications (acquired by SiR F Holdings); EdgeCast Networks (acquired by Verizon); Credant Technologies (acquired by Dell); Like.com (acquired by Google); newScale (acquired by Cisco Systems); and UserZoom (exited position). Pravin's current investments include Toast, Remitly, SalesLoft, CircleCI, Exabeam, Nuvemshop, Arctic Wolf and 6sense. Pravin started his career as an engineer working at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Later, Pravin worked for Pacific Communication Sciences and ADC Telecommunications as a product manager.
Pravin holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business.
Colin Vick is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Institutional Capital Team. In his role, Colin focuses on North American institutions and consultants.
Before joining Blue Owl, Colin was a Director at GoldenTree Asset Management, a credit firm based in New York, where he worked with US and Canadian institutions and family offices. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Blackstone in the Hedge Funds Solutions Group (BAAM).
Colin received his BS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Jack Viellieu is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Digital Infrastructure Investment Team. In his role, he focuses on new investment activity, portfolio management, and monetization opportunities across Digital Infrastructure.
Before joining Blue Owl, Jack was a Director at IPI Partners, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl's Digital Infrastructure strategy. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Madison Dearborn Partners, a generalist private equity fund based in Chicago, where he focused on investment opportunities in telecommunications and other industry verticals. Jack began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Retail & Consumer group at Credit Suisse.
Jack received his BA in Economics, magna cum laude, from Middlebury College and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Samantha Vlahos is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Client Marketing Team. As Head of Digital & Campaigns for the client businesses, she leads data-driven marketing campaigns and digital experiences that amplify the Blue Owl brand, advance fundraising initiatives, and enable client-facing teams across Private Wealth and Institutional Capital.
Samantha joined the firm from BlackRock, where she was previously an Associate on the US EII Client Marketing team. Her earlier experience includes partnering with pharmaceutical companies on strategic marketing and communications programs.
She earned a BA in Public Relations and Business Administration from The University of Alabama and studied abroad in London.
Jim Vogel is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Corporate Operations & Strategy Team. In his role, he directs construction activities and maintains the office infrastructure for Blue Owl offices globally.
Before joining Blue Owl, Jim was a Senior Project Manager at Tristar Construction. Prior to that he was a Senior Project Manager at Elysium Construction. Jim began his Project Management career at The Company, a construction firm specializing in high-end interior fit outs.
Ben Volok is a Principal at Blue Owl and member of the Private Wealth Team. In his role, he is focused on the capital raise initiatives and distribution of Blue Owl’s suite of funds, with primary concentration on Wirehouse platforms.
Before joining Blue Owl in 2016, Ben was a Vice President at Guggenheim & CION Securities. Prior to that, he began his career in Private Wealth working with Mutual Funds, 401-K’s & Annuities with The Hartford.
Ben received his BSBA with a focus in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.
