Blake Shorthouse is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and the Global Head of Family Capital. He leads the firm’s global efforts in building and strengthening long term relationships with single family offices.
Before joining Blue Owl in 2025, Blake spent a decade at KKR where he founded and led the Family Capital business in EMEA. Prior to KKR, he held senior roles in Zurich and London at Credit Suisse and UBS. Blake began his career at Merrill Lynch in London.
Blake received his BA in History and Politics from the University of Exeter (UK). He serves as a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery, London.
