Chris Eby is a Senior Managing Director at Blue Owl and the Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, he works closely with the firm's Co-CEOs and broader leadership to shape Blue Owl's long-term strategic direction and drive execution of its highest-priority initiatives. He oversees Firmwide Strategy and Corporate Development, leading strategic planning, corporate development, and M&A activity, while partnering across the organization to align leadership, resources, and execution with the firm's growth objectives. Drawing on more than two decades of experience advising leading alternative asset managers and private capital firms, Chris brings a differentiated perspective to advancing Blue Owl's continued growth and evolution.
Prior to joining Blue Owl, Chris was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Asset Management Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, where he led the Asset Management Investment Banking team and served as Co-Head of Specialty Finance Investment Banking. Throughout his investment banking career, Chris worked with many of the industry's leading firms across strategic advisory, M&A, and financing, and played a key role in transactions that helped shape the modern private capital landscape. He began his career in the Investment Banking division of FBR, a boutique investment bank focused on financial services in Washington, D.C.
Chris received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.
