Senior Managing Director
David Schwarz is a Senior Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Real Assets Management Team. In his role, where he serves as a member of the Investment Committee, he is responsible for private credit and lending initiatives across the platform.
Prior to joining Blue Owl, David was Head of Commercial Real Estate Strategies at Amherst, overseeing the firm’s commercial real estate credit business, as well as its residential build-to-rent platform. Prior to Amherst, Mr. Schwarz spent over a decade with Colony Capital Inc. (now DigitalBridge Group, Inc), most recently as Managing Director. He oversaw all functions of Colony’s expansive hospitality platform, including acquisitions and management of a 245-property portfolio. Earlier in his tenure at Colony, Mr. Schwarz helped launch the firm’s series of opportunistic credit funds. Prior to Colony, David worked at Warburg Pincus and The Carlyle Group, and started his career within the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch & Co.
David received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
