Senior Managing Director
Drew Phillips is a Senior Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Alternative Credit Investment Team. In his role, he’s focused on helping inculcate Blue Owl’s Alternative Credit business into the broader Blue Owl platform and augmenting Blue Owl’s brand as an innovative and trusted leader in asset-based finance.
Before joining Blue Owl, Drew was a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Atalaya Capital Management LP, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl's Alternative Credit team, where he oversaw all non-investment functions at the firm. Prior to joining Atalaya, Drew co-founded Tiger Bay Advisors, a boutique asset management consultancy. Previously, he ran the Fund and Client Legal Group at Bridgewater Associates and was the assistant General Counsel at The Rohatyn Group. He began his legal career at the law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
He is currently on the Board of Directors of GOSO (Get Out and Stay Out), a New York based organization that partners with people impacted by arrest and incarceration to plan for successful reentry into society, Breakthrough New York, a tuition free, ten-year educational program focused on enabling motivated students from low-income backgrounds to graduate from college and pursue fulfilling careers, and the Children’s Cancer and Blood Foundation, where he has served as Board President.
Drew holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
