Haitham Abdulkarim

Haitham Abdulkarim is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Institutional Capital Team. In his role, he focuses on capital raising and fund formation in the Middle East, working closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to bring the firm’s investment strategies to the region.

Before joining Blue Owl, Haitham was a senior member of the Middle East Institutional Client Business team at BlackRock; leading client strategy and engagement for the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Bahrain. Haitham was previously responsible for promoting BlackRock’s private markets offering to investors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and helped establish the firm's first fund dedicated to the region. Prior to that, he led investor relations at Mubadala-backed Waha Capital in Abu Dhabi and at Samena Capital, a pan-Asia private equity firm based out of Dubai. Haitham began his career in Mergers & Acquisitions, with roles at HSBC Global Banking & Markets and BNP Paribas CIB in Dubai and Singapore.

He received his Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Finance, Accounting & Management from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.
