Managing Director
Matt Rothfleisch is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Alternative Credit Investment Team. In his role, Matt oversees public markets investing for the Alternative Credit team and is a member of the Investment Committee and Operating Committee. Matt manages portfolios that focus on Stressed/Distressed Debt, Event-Driven Situations, Long/Short Credit, Capital Structure Arbitrage and SPACs.
Before joining Blue Owl, Matt was a Partner at Atalaya Capital Management, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Alternative Credit team. Prior to that, he was the Founder, CEO and CIO of Rotation Capital, a New York based opportunistic hedge fund. Before that, Matt was a Partner at Del Mar Asset Management, overseeing the Credit business and serving as a member of the Investment and Management Committees. Prior to that he was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Highbridge/Zwirn managing the Domestic Capital Structure Arbitrage portfolio. He began working on the buyside as a Trader and Desk Analyst at Oak Hill after working as an Investment Banking and Capital Markets Analyst at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.
Matthew has a BA in Political Science from Columbia College.
