Michael Adams

Michael Adams is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Insurance Solutions Investment Team. In his role, he serves as Head of Insurance Platforms, where he primarily focuses on strategic transactions and corporate development in support of the firm’s insurance efforts.

Before joining Blue Owl, he was General Counsel for Prosperity Asset Management, an asset management business focused on insurance company balance sheets, where he was responsible for all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Michael was Deputy General Counsel (Acting General Counsel) for Soros Fund Management, where he led the legal and compliance teams. Before Soros, Michael was Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Jones Road Capital Management, a special situations credit firm. Prior to Jones Road, Michael was General Counsel – North America for Tetragon, a diversified, alternative asset, investment, and management group. He began his career as an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.

He received a law degree, magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Applied Economics from Cornell University.

Before law school, Michael was a captain in the United States Air Force.
