Managing Director
Sonya Li is a Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Office of the Co-CEOs. In her role, she is focused on the continued growth and global expansion of Blue Owl through strategic acquisitions as well as partnerships and investments. She has led numerous transactions for the firm including the acquisition of IPI Partners, Atalaya Capital Management, and Prima Capital Advisors.
Before joining Blue Owl, Sonya was a Principal at Angel Island Capital, a Golden Gate Capital fund based in San Francisco. Prior to that, she was an Associate at Tennenbaum Capital. She began her career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Rothschild.
Sonya received a BS in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Management from the Wharton School and a BA in International Studies as part of the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with honors.
